Diego Loyzaga speaks up after getting negative feedbacks by netizens for his throwback Boracay photos.

Diego Loyzaga defends himself against the netizens thru his social media account after posting a photo together with his friends in Boracay.

Everybody knows that Boracay is under rehabilitaion and it is closed for the public. 

Netizens asked him how did he enter the island and he responded with "Locals kami".

Netizens thought that the photo was taken during the rehabilitation period and accused him of using his "connections" and fame to go to the island.

Diego Loyzaga edited his caption on his instagram post.

Imagine if i never met the broskies (Have to explain myself again on social media bcos of allegations that aren’t true 🤦‍♂️. These photos were taken months ago. I only posted to show appreciation to my two friends who are in the photo with me. Thus the caption which are lyrics from a song. I meant no disrespect to Boracay, the people living there and its current state. I know whats going on there. We have land there. We have lots of friends who are owners of businesses etc in Boracay. We have heard all the stories of whats going on. (I dont know if sharing this information will help me prove my point but my mom, @teresaloyzaga since i was a kid has done numerous clean up projects in boracay, along with me and my family) I didnt have any bad intentions with this post. I was not exploiting Boracay in any way. I should have not added the location to avoid all this but since many people have already messaged me about there being write ups about me and my friends being able to go to Boracay even though its closed for tourists, sana maunawaan kayo sa explanation nato. Sorry sa mga nagalit. Although the post may come of quite obnoxious, that was not intended. Sorry especially to the people who are living in Boracay and saw this post. So for everyone in the comment section thats hating on this post. Hopefully this will clear things up.)

On his Instagram stories, Diego explained his side on the said issue.

"So long story short.. I posted this in appreciation of my friends. No other intention. The background could have been anywhere. No offence meant to anybody or any destination. My comment on being a local means my love for the place. I wish not to explain further as there is nothing more to explain. To any party offended by their misunderstanding of my intent, i hope this pacifies you. Love of friendship is all i wanted to impart. Peace. 

Sorry for another Instagram rant. I hate doing this. I cringe at myself for it but i think i gotta stand up for myself on this one."
