Sometimes people will eventually experience having an itchy ear and most of us don't know what's causing it then people tend to use anything they can find to scratch the inside of the ear to ease the itchiness but little did they know that it can make the situation much worse.


Although there are things that can contribute when it comes to itchy ears and the most common causes are a nervous habit, fungal infection or the beginning of an infection. Other causes can be skin diseases such as psoriasis or dermatitis. Some people with allergies complain of Itchy ears.

Putting any kinds of things inside your ears just to scratch can cause abrasions of the ear canal and if the skin breaks the bacteria can enter through its protective barrier then the ear will become infected and may require medical attention.

If you experience itching in your ear and without evidence of trauma or infection it can be treated by the use of 70% rubbing alcohol and just use it as an ear drop.

Having an itchy ear may be a sign of an infection is developing and ears that are infected will feel a burning sensation when rubbing alcohol is applied.
