But things are starting to change, with more people now trying their best to save money. While it is hard to do it on your own, others have finally found a way to force themselves to save by doing the ‘ipon challenge’ (savings challenge).
But what if all the bills that you've saved will turn into waste? A netizen posted her experience about her 'Ipon Challenge' which almost gone wrong.
According to her, once she saw a Facebook post where all the bills have gone rusty so, she checked her coin bank to see what happened to her savings and was shocked by what she saw.

Translation:
'Nakita ko sa FB yung Ipon Challenge sa can na kinalawang ang pera sa loob kaya dali-dali kong binuksan ang alkansya ko kasi baka yung akin kinalawang na din. Pero nung pagbukas ko, tadannn!!! Hay, buti na lang nakita ko yung post sa FB tungkol sa ganito. Kung hindi, baka puro kalawang na tong pera ko.'
