MANILA – The brother of celebrities Elmo and Maxene Magalona was arrested in Taguig early Monday, police said.
According to Southern Police District chief Tomas Apolinario, a complaint of unjust vexation was filed against Frank, son of the late rapper Francis Magalona at the Taguig Prosecutor's office. His release was ordered by the fiscal, pending further investigation.
Authorities apprehended Francis Michael Magalona after he supposedly touched a woman’s buttocks, according to Southern Police District Director, Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario Jr.
The victim said she was pulling out alcoholic beverages when Magalona approached her, walked behind her and pinched her behind.
The victim, who is a VIP host at the Revel Bar, immediately went to the supervisor of the establishment to report the incident and also sought help from the head bouncer, which led to Magalona's arrest.
As of posting, Magalona is detained in a Taguig police station.
Frank Magalona has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
